The year: 2068 A.D. The place: Earthlight, the first international moon colony.

It’s a domed complex of cold steel and carbon nanotubes, sterile and metallic, run by ironclad rules and regulations. Population: 228 adults—and 42 kids. Earthlight is a very expensive and controversial project, and life there is tense and difficult. Safety regulations must be obeyed to the letter. And the kids’ parents are all under enormous pressure, which both contributes to the burden they place on their children and means they have very little family time in their schedules. So the kids must find their own way most of the time…

Earthlight Volume 1

Fifteen-year-old Damon Cole, who’s just arrived on the moon, is one of the first students at the new Earthlight Academy. It’s tough being the new kid – but it’s even worse when your mother is your teacher. And when your father is Chief Administrator of the entire colony, that’s really asking for it. 

Damon just wants to kick back and fit in. But soon he’s drawn into the life of a pretty girl named Lise, and her abusive boyfriend. Can he avoid being drawn into a deadly fistfight at the top of the lunar dome? And if so, will he be ready for the terror that’s coming – from the adult world?

Months after the devastating events of Volume Two, a new teacher finally arrives at to run the Earthlight Academy. But her students have become an unruly mob; fifteen-year-old Damon Cole, for instance, has a new girlfriend whose hobbies include vandalism, a dangerous crime on the moon.

Meanwhile, Damon’s father struggles to keep the colony open, and must resort to desperate means to stop a new wave of sabotage. They all know one horrible fact: A devastating war is about to break out on Earth…and when that happens, the moon colony may become a luxury no one can afford.
